Package: bash
Version: 2.05b-26
Severity: important

Error description:

Since I have upgraded to Sarge I have in all of my BASH
scripts errors which do something like

    > echo "I hate the BASH!"
    bash: !": event not found

This makes all of my scripts unusable since my Scripts
are quiting with an error.

Escaping is no solution because:

    > echo "I hate the BASH\!"
    I hate the BASH\!

Please can you solv this problem quickly?
